“All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”-1 Corinthians 12:11-13
Last week was an emotional week for me because I had to say goodbye to some of the people that have become closet to me in my life. One of the hardest things for me to leave is my church in Birmingham, The Church at Brook Hills. This church has become my home. It is a place where I can go and truly worship the Lord and dig deeper into His Word every week. It is also the place where I have met
some amazing people. Since January I have been blessed to be a part of a Bible study through the church. Every Thursday I spend my evening with about ten other young people who love God and want to know Him more. They have not only been so much fun to spend
time with, but they have truly become my spiritual support system and a constant source of encouragement to me. We are truly like a family and I know the Lord brought this specific group of people together for a reason.
This past Thursday was my last night with them before I left for Georgia. Unbeknownst to me, instead of our regular Bible lesson, they decided to throw me a going away party. We spent the night eating,
playing a serious game of Apples to Apples and most of all just enjoying each other’s company. It was a great time of fellowship and meant a lot to me. I am so thankful for this amazing group of people and I am blessed to have each one of them in my life.
To my group: Thank you each for being there for me and for making my life better because you are each a part of it. I love you all more than you will ever know!
For His Glory,
Caroline 🙂
Ps. 56:3
